Women's International Day in Israel

Participation in a panel at the Knesset, the Israeli parliament that took place at the Women's International Day

On March 5th, 2024, in honor of International Women's Day, a committee meeting was held in the Knesset. A delegation from the Maccabi World Union's women's leadership attended the meeting to highlight the crucial role of Maccabi women in Israeli advocacy efforts worldwide, as this forum took upon itself to echo the important topic of sexual terrorism, especially after the occasions on October 7th.

During the panel discussion on female combatants in advocacy, Orly Fruman, former MK and Deputy Chairperson of the Movement, urged women's organizations from around the globe to raise awareness about this critical issue. She emphasized the need for an unequivocal and unconditional international recognition of the atrocities that have taken place in Israel.
