Gilat Makmel

Gilat is a dedicated educator and community leader, specializing in Hebrew language and Jewish studies for primary and secondary students. She holds an M.Teach in Secondary Education focusing on Social Sciences and Citizenship and a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Behavioral Science.
Born and raised in Israel, Gilat’s leadership journey began in the “Maccabi Tzair” youth movement, where she progressed from participant to counselor and coordinator, shaping leadership programs for youth. During her military service, she continued to work with commanders and educators, fostering growth and connection. From 2011 to 2013, Gilat served as a Jewish Agency emissary in Turin, Italy, strengthening Jewish identity and ties to Israel within the community.
Gilat is married to Gimmy and is a proud mother to Noemi and Daniel.
