Rita (Goldenberg) Rusu

Rita, born and raised in Romania, holds an M. Sc. in Biochemistry and an Executive MBA. She has over a decade of experience in brand marketing management at leading companies such as Colgate-Palmolive, Heineken, and Wrigley, and worked as a Media Marketing Manager at MediaCom for Procter & Gamble. Today, she is a freelance marketing consultant, and in her free time, she volunteers as a makeup artist for underprivileged women.
Rita’s connection to her Jewish heritage deepened after she joined the Canadian delegation to the 2022 Maccabiah as a chaperone for the Gymnastics team, while her daughter took part in the volleyball team. Since then, she's been active in Maccabi Canada and JCC Maccabi Games initiatives, with her partner, Larry, as a volleyball coach, and their younger daughter joining the JCC Toronto delegation.
Rita lives in Toronto with her partner, and they have two daughters, a Border Collie, and two cats.
