Ilana Ben Namer-Kevehazi
Ilana, Head of the European/Australia/South Africa Desks and Board of Trustees, has deep roots in the Maccabi movement. With her father serving as the MWU chairman and her mother as secretary and VIP coordinator, Maccabi has always been both a global family of friends and colleagues and a home for Ilana. Her own family has even celebrated countless private events at Kfar Maccabiah.
Ilana’s first Maccabiah memory dates back to 1965, when she attended the Games as a five-year-old tourist. Over four decades, she has held various roles within the Maccabi World Union, including serving as VIP Director at several Maccabiah Games. Despite the many years and numerous Maccabiah events she has experienced, each opening ceremony remains particularly special, filling her with immense pride as she watches new delegations join the Games—a significant and cherished experience for many.
Ilana is married to Bentzi and they have three children and nine grandchildren.
